Bohio Punta Cana is a delightful restaurant nestled in the heart of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and flavorful cuisine, it promises a genuine Caribbean dining experience. Guests rave about the dishes, with standout options like mofongo—a beloved staple that captures the essence of local flavors. One customer, Rameci Rivera, noted the comfort of home-cooked meals, especially the rice and beans that evoke nostalgia.

However, the dining experience is not without its quirks. As Miguel2 Del Monte2 highlighted, the pricing has seen fluctuations, though the taste remains consistent. The staff's flexibility is evident, as they accommodated a last-minute order change without any hassle. It's important for diners to be mindful about billing—using Dominican pesos can streamline transactions and avoid unnecessary fees.

Despite some minor suggestions, such as choosing seating to enhance comfort, Bohio Punta Cana remains a top choice for both locals and tourists. From the enticing Caribbean dishes to the relaxed vibe, it captures the spirit of the Dominican Republic, making it a must-visit for those exploring the area.

We came here for breakfast and loved the atmosphere and culture so much. The Dominican breakfast was delicious, especially loved the mashed potatoes. The juice was fresh and refreshing. The service was wonderful, he even taught us some Spanish. It was well shaded to beat the sun and very peaceful.

Excellent quality and presentation of my Dominican breakfast. Don't miss this one right outside of Stanza Mare. The music was a bit loud for my taste... but not distasteful, and plenty of seating.

Came here for just a drink. Nachos were very good, and on the menu I noticed a dessert called habichuelas con dulce. This is something my mother used to make for family occasions, of which I always loved the smell but hated the taste. I asked if they had a small sampler but they didn't have it, he told me to wait. A while later the waiter came with a portion he magically arranged for me, and it was absolutely delicious. The vibe with the live music and the people dancing was great too. 10/10 would come again

Over the past year, prices in the area have changed dramatically. However, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Be careful when ordering: we initially ordered four dishes and immediately told the waiter to cancel the fourth one so we could order a different dish—in other words, we replaced it. When the food arrived, we ended up with five dishes, and he didn’t seem bothered, even though we had to pay for the extra one by mistake.

My partner and I came for a drink and dessert after dinner elsewhere because we had seen they were going to have live music. The singer was absolutely amazing! I think he was singing mostly Puerto Rican songs, which I really appreciated. Lots of other restaurants boast live music, and it’s just covers of popular English songs. A big part of why I travel to other countries is to be exposed to different music and cultures. Half way through his set, several salsa dancers put in a show and then got everyone to dance and even taught us some moves. We got happy hour pricing on our mojitos and the desert was great. Didn’t feel too expensive at all. Everywhere charges 18% for taxes and most places charge another 10% for gratuity. It was one of our favorite nights of the whole trip.

Rooms are air-conditioned and beds are comfortable. During high season it can be expensive but compared to what’s in the area it’s a good price. Staff was very polite and friendly. Breakfast is included which was good! I enjoyed my stay. There’s also a communal kitchen you could use! The hotel has a restaurant downstairs with a lively atmosphere. NB the food at the restaurant was terrible. I got the burrito and it was missing most of the ingredients listed on the menu. It tasted horrible and was overpriced. Maybe just avoid the restaurant?

Food was amazing and the ladies that work there are all super lovely with amazing service and are all very friendly. The flan is insanely good and they give you a massive piece, I like to think of myself as a flan enthusiast. Cocktails are delicious but also very strong so if you are a lightweight like me, make sure you pace yourself! Lol still delicious though. Loved it here. Ordered a Mofongo which I understand is one of the country’s specialties and it was impeccable and I understand why it’s a specialty. Delicious. You will not be disappointed. :)

Food prices doesn't count additional 28%, so the resulting prices are pretty high. But the live music and dancing stole the heart! Hotel is ok, everything is clean, tho you can find something cheaper for the same level accomondation, the location is just excellent, and it worth staying here! The beach is 3 minutes walking away.

We went to the restaurant and it seemed close to where we stayed the only thing I recommend is sitting towards the back to avoid locals and the smell of stuck water but I would say the food is normal Caribbean food the most local food you will find in the area I had their mofongo and it was really good. I also tried rice and beans and it was like a comfort home meal. Ensure to have Dominican pesos to avoid fees with your card or not getting all your cash change if it’s not their currency.
